Надо выяснить все что у тебя висит в автозагрузке, с помощью бесплатной программы AutoRuns (установки не требует). Она показывает все программы, службы и драйвера присутствующие в автозагрузке. С её помощью можно редактировать все записи, отключив лишние записи проверить на месте ли нужные. Брать утилиту здесь.

а вот у меня касперский удалил вирус после чего explorer.exe также не запускается...на сайте касперского советуют открыть реестр и в открывшемся окне Редактора Реестра найти и заменить значение Shell в ключе HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon на explorer.exe
Если в параметре Shell отсутствует какое-либо значение или любое другое, то необходимо ввести значение explorer.exe, а иные (если есть удалить).
# После перезагрузки компьютера выполните следующие действия:
* откройте папку C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\;
* найдите файл USER32.EXE;
* переименуйте файл USER32.EXE в файл USER33.EXE;
* перезагрузите компьютер;
* после перезагрузки удалите ранее переименованный файл USER33.EXE из папки C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\;
* нажмите кнопку Пуск->выполнить->regedit
* раскройте ветку HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System;
*слева удалите ключ реестра DisableTaskMgr (щелкните по нему правой кнопкой мыши и в появившемся меню выберите пункт Удалить);
*если к компьютеру подключены какие-либо сменные носители, то найдите и удалите файл MD.EXE с этих носителей.

Normally this problem of disappearing of desktop icons caused by the virus called called F-Nimda which creates a file named bxomebc.exe which aborts the windows explorer from starting. But this problem could be due to the corrupted registry also.
Firstly before following any of the methods given below download the F-Nimda virus removal tool. http://www.pcrepaircentral.com/removal/fsnimda3.zip

Method 1:
1. Start Windows XP, after starting press Ctrl+Shift+Esc or Ctrl+Alt+Del to launch task manager.
2. Click File menu and select “New Tasks (run…)”
3. Now type CMD and click OK, this will open the Command Prompt.
4. Type following command on command prompt:
Reg add “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RpcSs” /v ObjectName /t REG_SZ /d LocalSystem and press enter.
Note: You can also try downloading this registry entry in order to re-enable the showing of your desktop icons. Download from here, double click and press OK button to merge it in registry. http://www2.whidbey.net/djdenham/File_store/desktop_ok.reg
Method 2:

1. Download this shell fix registry settings from here ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/anti-virus/tools/shellfix.reg , merge it into the registry by double clicking the downloaded file and press OK.
2. Download process explorer from here http://download.sysinternals.com/Files/ProcessExplorer.zip and run it.
3. Locate a process called bxomebc.exe in process explorer, end this process and delete the file from its location (You will get to know the file path by taking mouse over the process).
4. Restart your computer.
We hope at least one of fixes provided above will help you fix the trouble.
